Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. The hotel is beautiful and well constructed, as well as really well decorated. The rooms are big eniugh and have a great heating system. The bathroom is also good. The water smells a little bit like sulphur, but that happens in several region on Iceland and is not something super strong.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Great value for money! We stayed at their chalet which was pretty cosy. Arnor the owner was very friendly, showing us the facilities and gave useful tips for travelling. They have jacuzzi and sauna at extra cost, we used both facilities and it was very relaxing enjoying the jacuzzi while watching the snow falling. Breakfast was included and they were nice. Check out was smooth. Highly recommended.

Berjaya Hérað Hotel is situated in Egilsstadir, 5 km from Lagarfljot River. It offers a terrace bar and 24-hour room service. All rooms have Wi-Fi, satellite TV and wooden floors. The most elaborate offerings for breakfast, variety, freshness, hot and cold items. Even fried eggs and bacon!

Very comfortable stay. Proximity to Studlagil gorge and amazing staff. Hrafndis was a wonderful hostess.

Set in Eiðar, 49 km from Hengifoss, Eiðar - Hostel offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The property is non-smoking and is located 33 km from Gufufoss. The design of the room was exceptional, the kitchen was super huge and free hot beverages.

Hotel Eskifjörður is located in Eskifjörður. Free WiFi access is available. Featuring a shower, private bathroom also comes with a hairdryer. You can enjoy mountain view from the room. Breakfast was good. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed all the food! The rooms were spacious and quiet. The staff was knowledgeable and helped us find a good restaurant on town. We recommend this hotel.

This family-run hotel enjoys a countryside location by Road 93, overlooking central Egilsstadir, 2 km away. Free WiFi access in the lobby and garden views can be enjoyed. Great place with amazing staff!! Eyvindara was so kind and told us stories about the town and how she and his husband built the whole place

This design hotel is located in Fáskrúdsfjördur village in Iceland’s Eastfjords region. It offers free parking and tastefully decorated rooms with a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi access. The place is full of history which makes it very special. The rooms are small but cosy. We had a beautiful view on the Fjord. It was our favorite hotel during our 10 days trip to Iceland.

Set in Seydisfjördur village, this accommodation offers rooms with free WiFi. Egilsstadir village is 28 km away. The property also offers on-site free parking. Iceland in the winter is, in a word, an experience. Accommodations and amenities are limited due to it being the "off-season" While breakfast was not included, Sigrid was able to arrange something in the town which was amazing. We also had a storm come over night and she helped with making sure that we could get out and was also concerned that we would make it over the pass. We messaged back and forth to let her know that all was good. I cannot speak more highly of her kindness, hospitality, and caring nature.
