As we were travelling around the island in a campervan visiting all the attractions, we arrived at our hotel 7 minutes to 9 pm. The gentleman at the reception checked us in and informed us that there were not many places to dine and their dining room was closing in 7 minutes. As we informed him we hadn't had dinner yet, he proceeded to the dining room and made arrangements to keep the dining room open to serve us a most excellent meal. We requested a view of the harbor which to my surprise was provided without additional cost. The room was quite spacious and very clean with a king size bed that was the most comfortable we have ever slept in, not to mention the high quality down pillows and duvet that came with it. We would highly recommend a stay at this hotel as the staff were friendly and very accommodating to ensure an enjoyable hassle-free stay.

This hotel is quietly situated 2 km from Lake Mývatn and 30 minutes’ drive from the Godafoss Waterfall and Krafla Crater. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with modern furnishings. Everything, rooms are good sized, comfortable bed, can't complain. Breakfast is super. A lot of variety. The staff are extremely helpful, I forgot my phone charger in the room and left hotel for Reykjiavik. I called hotel, they found the charger and send by post to Reykjiavik, I am very grateful. This family owned hotel is located at 3,8 kms away from Godafoss waterfall, and offers modern guest rooms with private bathroom. Free private parking is available. Location is really just a few kilometers from Godafoss, in a tranquil land. Room was really bigger than expected, own shower and toilet, which is great. Breakfast was perfect too.
